BEIA Grid Institut attended POLI AutoFEST 2026 at POLITEHNICA Bucharest – three days of automotive innovation that provided a natural and receptive audience for our NEVERFLAT project, developing low-cost, bidirectional, smart EV charging infrastructure for mass deployment in urban environments.

In an event dedicated to the future of mobility, EV charging infrastructure is anything but peripheral – it is the backbone that makes electric mobility viable at scale. The conversations we had at AutoFEST confirmed the growing appetite among engineers, students, and industry professionals for practical, affordable, and interoperable charging solutions.

We also had the pleasure of visiting the Pirelli stand for a conversation on tyre R&D, and trying the C-MineTech VR simulator by GEOSTUD – an EU-funded training tool for automotive disassembly and circular material recovery that showcased how immersive technology can accelerate sustainable practices in the sector.
