BEIA Grid Institut at ENERGYEAR Eastern Europe & Energy Strategy Summit 2026 | Bucharest, 8–9 June

Bucharest hosted ENERGYEAR Eastern Europe on 9 June 2026 — bringing together over 300 professionals, 50+ speakers, and 30 partner companies at the InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest, with a technical agenda focused on Romania’s energy market outlook, grid constraints, curtailment risks, and the mounting pressures on grid infrastructure across the region.

Alongside it, Energy Strategy Summit 2026 — held 8–9 June under the theme “In Construction Mode” — convened Romania’s top energy executives, regulators, and policymakers for high-level panels on the future of the national energy system, including a sharp Session 3 dedicated to “The Grid Under Load: Stress Testing the System.”

BEIA Grid Institut was present at both events — and the timing could not have been more fitting. The conversations dominating both agendas — grid stress, EV integration, vehicle-to-grid flows, smart charging, and renewable energy management — sit squarely at the heart of our NEVERFLAT project.

In rooms full of energy investors, grid operators, and policymakers, NEVERFLAT’s message landed where it matters: the future of smart EV charging is inseparable from the future of a resilient, flexible, and renewable-powered European grid.
