SpaceFEST 2026 was hosted by the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest in partnership with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA) – and BEIA Grid Institut was part of it.

Three days on the POLITEHNICA campus gave us a unique platform to bring our two flagship Horizon Europe projects to a diverse audience of students, researchers, industry professionals, and the general public. WATERGRID – developing smart, nature-based water grid solutions for climate-resilient water management across Europe – and NEVERFLAT – building low-cost, bidirectional EV charging infrastructure for mass urban deployment – both found genuinely receptive audiences at an event where innovation meets curiosity at every turn. Space may be the theme of SpaceFEST, but the conversations about how technology can serve people and the planet are very much grounded here on Earth.
