Already two days in at AgriPlanta – RomAgroTec 2026 — and BEIA Grid Institut is finding an unexpectedly rich audience for NEVERFLAT at Romania’s most dynamic open-air agricultural fair in Fundulea.

At first glance, a fair dedicated to seeds, machinery, and crop production may not seem like the natural home for an EV charging project. But modern farms are increasingly electrified — tractors, equipment, service vehicles — and the conversation about affordable, bidirectional charging infrastructure is one that agricultural businesses are starting to ask. NEVERFLAT — our Horizon Europe project developing low-cost, modular, bidirectional DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles — addresses exactly this transition, offering a smart energy management tool that goes beyond charging to enable vehicle-to-grid power flow.
