19-22 of March, BEIA Grid Institut was present at Romtherm Construct Ambient 2026, held at ROMEXPO Bucharest — Romania’s leading annual fair for construction, renovation, architecture, and building technologies, uniting contractors, real estate developers, engineers, architects, and industry professionals under the banner of #TotulPentruCasaTa2026.

The event offered a rich platform for B2B networking and B2C engagement, and for us it was an invaluable opportunity to bring two of our most impactful active projects directly in front of the professionals and decision-makers who matter most.

WATERGRID — Nature-Based Smart Water Grids for Integrated Water and Drought Management — is a Horizon Europe project developing the Smart Water Grid (SWG) concept for climate-resilient water management.

NEVERFLAT — iNnovative EV-charging EnviRonment for Future Low-cost mAss deploymenT — is a Horizon Europe initiative developing a low-cost, bidirectional, user-friendly smart EV charging infrastructure for urban and peri-urban environments. Leveraging cutting-edge WBG semiconductor technology, machine learning predictive models, and advanced grid simulation, NEVERFLAT addresses one of the biggest barriers to electric vehicle adoption: affordable, pervasive, and interoperable charging infrastructure.

Romtherm Construct Ambient confirmed something we experience every day at BEIA Grid Institut: the built environment and the digital world are no longer separate. Smart water management, clean energy infrastructure, and digital building technologies are shaping a construction sector that is greener, more resilient, and more connected than ever before.
